How it works
From “I need to talk” to a real conversation.
There are a few clear steps, but no perfect way to begin. Here is exactly what happens before, during and after a Mommy Talk session.
- 1
Create your account
Sign up with your email and your own password, then confirm your email. Once signed in, your customer space keeps your bookings, session history and test receipts together.
- 2
Choose a little time
Select private text chat and 10, 20 or 30 minutes. You will see the full total before confirming: $19.90, $39.80 or $59.70. Choose a posted listener time, if one is available, or request the next listener who accepts.
- 3
Wait for a human to accept
A request is not an instant match or a guarantee that someone is free. An approved, trained listener must accept. If you choose a posted time, that availability comes from a listener’s own schedule.
- 4
Acknowledge the disclaimer
At the beginning you will see “We are not licensed professionals.” and can play the spoken version. An accessible acknowledgment option is available if audio playback is not. Time spent on the disclaimer is not charged.
- 5
Talk while you are both connected
Connected time is tracked on the server only while both participants are present and the disclaimer has been acknowledged. A dropped connection is not counted as extra connected time. Your session stops at the time you purchased.
- 6
Extend only if you want to
When the allowance is reached, you decide whether to add another 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Nothing extends automatically. Right now bookings and extensions are clearly marked test mode, and no real card is charged.
Good to know before you begin
- Private text is available; phone and video are coming soon.
- Messages are visible to session participants and are not recorded by default.
- Administrative records such as bookings and connected time can be visible to the company owner.
- Mommy Talk is peer listening, not therapy or emergency care.
